Video Insight IP Video Surveillance Solutions Selected at Pflugerville Independent School District

Houston, TX based Video Insight and their integration partner Titus Systems of Round Rock, TX have been selected to provide a comprehensive IP Video Surveillance solution at Pflugerville ISD.  The estimated total expenditure for the project is $1,682,728.  The recommendation document for the Board approval contained the following justification for the selection:

Although Video Insight did not provide the least expensive solution, their proposal provided the best overall features and value for the district. The Video Insight solution is the only solution designed exclusively for K-12 educational use. It was also the favorite solution among a district team of Technology, Safety, Support Services, and Police representatives who provided project input and review during all phases of this process. The product’s user interface and ease of use were important factors in its selection.  The Video Insight solution is simple to implement and maintain. It is also the only proposed solution that can be integrated with the district’s existing Novell e-Directory. This will allow authorized end users to use their existing usernames and passwords to access the camera system. In addition, the Video Insight solution is the only solution to offer unlimited online product training, allowing campus administrators the opportunity to obtain product training as their schedules allow. Therefore, we recommend awarding a contract to Video Insight to replace and expand the district’s existing surveillance system.”

Rob Shaw, Video Insight CEO had these comments about the selection, “We are very excited about this selection.  We wholeheartedly agree with Pflugerville’s statement that our solutions provide the best overall features and value for the district.  Once again, Video Insight products prove to be ideal for multi campus environments such as K12 and Higher Ed.  We look forward to working with Titus Systems on this important project”
